Have you ever considered a career in homecare? A job providing much-needed help and support those in your local community? An occupation that helps make the lives of others easier, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.

Yes, the role can be challenging, but is also incredibly rewarding – imagine knowing that you can, that you will, make a dramatic difference to someone’s life; whether it's for one hour a week, a few hours a day or even around the clock care, 24/7; each dependent on our end user’s individual needs.

Many of our end users find it difficult to cope with daily routines, with everyday tasks that you, that we, take for granted; that we don’t give a second thought too. Washing, dressing, preparing meals or popping to the shops for a loaf of bread and a pint of milk can be difficult and frustrating, so being able to help those struggling in your local community, really does makes a great deal of difference to their lives.

For others, a little companionship is all that’s needed. Having someone to talk to, to share stories with, to enjoy cup of tea and a chat with someone; all small acts that go a really long way in brightening someone’s day.

And yes, of course there are end users who need far more help and support. Those discharged from hospital after surgery or an illness, or users with physical disabilities – a limitation of their physical function, mobility, dexterity, or stamina. And those with Dementia, whose care can be extremely challenging; whose family quite often need help and support too.

No two days are ever the same in the life of a Support Worker. The work is often challenging, but rewarding, tiring yet invigorating, affecting and emotional, but also poignant. Overall, there is something really special about knowing you are helping, really helping, to better the lives of others around you.

If you are looking for a rewarding role, if you are caring, empathetic and have a passion to help others, to help those who may not have the support of family or friends, then why not think about becoming a Support Worker? There are always people in need of help and support, and as a member of the Pure Heart team, you will be supported, fully- trained and equipped with all tools required to conduct this worthwhile, gratifying and fulfilling role, in partnership, with respect, integrity and dignity, and always with excellence.

We are always looking for more incredible people to join our team, so if you think being a Support Workers is for you, then why not give us a call. We’d love to hear from you.
